“Our vision was to create a place for re-connection within ourselves, with others, and with the natural world.”
We are Virna Signorelli, a psychologist dedicated to emotional well-being, and Roberto Melchiorri, a passionate seeker of holistic living and personal growth. Together, we envisioned a place where healing is not just a concept but an experience that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. Our journey to opening this retreat center was guided by a simple yet profound mission: to provide a space where individuals can find inner peace and exchange knowledge.
We believe that true wellness extends beyond traditional approaches; it also combines mindfulness, nature, emotional healing, and meaningful human connections. Through this space, we hope to offer retreat leaders, therapists, coaches, and organizations a setting where they can facilitate deep and lasting change for those they guide.
Retreat Monferrato is designed to preserve the historic, peaceful atmosphere that stems from its old monastery architecture while also opening up a space for new mindsets and innovation. Whether you are looking to host a retreat, engage in personal reflection, or explore holistic healing, Retreat Monferrato is here to support your journey.
We invite you to experience this space, share in its energy, and become part of a community dedicated to growth, transformation, and well-being.
Welcome to Retreat Monferrato – where your healing begins.
Instructors
Our therapists and instructors are trusted professionals who reflect the core of our mission in their work. However, we also offer support to teachers and therapists who would like to expand their visions. With our professional coaching, we aim to accompany people in their careers and help grow their vision together.
Retreat Team
Our team members work behind the scenes with dedication and heart, ensuring that each detail supports the broader vision of our retreat. Whether through creativity, organization, hospitality or technical expertise, they each contribute to shaping a space where people feel welcomed, supported, and inspired. Their commitment reflects the same values of care, integrity, and openness that guide every aspect of our mission.
HATISUARA, meaning “the sound of the heart” in Indonesian, is an Italian sound healing duo based in Bali, formed by Mariacristina Busso and Luca Saini. Luca, a filmmaker and visual artist, and Mariacristina, an artist and restorer, share a passion for sound’s healing power. For over ten years, they’ve explored sound in artistic, therapeutic, and ritual contexts, inspired by native traditions and neuroscience. They offer Sound Healing sessions, Cacao Ceremonies, Ecstatic Dance, forest therapy, and contemporary art workshops, sharing their work through retreats and workshops worldwide.
Movement has always been my passion. Even my Philosophy thesis was about movement. I have studied all over Europe and the United States and am certified in 5Rhythms and Soul Motion. And it is always out of passion that I co-created ConsciousDanceItaly, the Italian platform that promotes conscious movement practices rooted in 5Rhythms. I lead workshops in Italy and across Europe, and when I’m not teaching, I write. I’m a copywriter and run a small publishing house specializing in custom-made fairy tales: Fiabeperdire.
I have great respect and admiration for those who created this center, and I share their vision.
Alone, we go nowhere, and no single practice can reach everywhere.
This is why I love the idea of collaborating, intertwining, connecting, and letting different disciplines converse with one another. And doing so in a place filled with care and beauty.
Riccardo Mollo is a musician and teacher with over 17 years of experience in drumming. Trained at the Music Academy of Turin under masters like Furio Chirico and Beppe Basile, he developed a deep rhythmic foundation. Since 2019, he has been teaching and exploring the handpan – an instrument that unites melody and rhythm. He studied with Daniele Rebaudo and took online courses with David Kuckhermann. Today, he offers lessons, events, and concerts blending handpan, yoga, and sound healing. For Riccardo, the handpan is a bridge between technique and spirituality, discipline and freedom – a lifelong sonic journey.

Letizia works in the management team at Retreat Monferrato, handling bookings and local promotion.
“I deeply believe in connections with nature and its regenerative energy. I was born and raised in Montiglio, and after some experiences in other cities and abroad, I chose to return to my roots. I could never live far from nature, as it is my source of inspiration and balance.”
After finishing school in 2022, she gained experience in hospitality across France, Spain, and Portugal, developing a passion for learning languages and exploring new cultures while working in various roles. Currently, she is part of the management team, where she combines her organizational skills with her interest in well-being and hospitality. Influenced by psychology and spirituality from a young age, she continues to explore these interests both personally and professionally.
“I am thankful for my journey at Retreat Monferrato, where I realized that an essential part of my work is actually my own personal growth and the energy that I project onto those around me.”
Trained in Barcelona, I naturally followed the path of graphic design, led from a young age by my passion for drawing. A creative soul at heart, I’ve developed a sensitivity that deeply aligns with the values of Retreat Monferrato.
I believe our senses are precious guides toward a more harmonious life — one that is more conscious, more connected to nature. This belief fuels my work: to visually convey the magic of this place, the beauty of the people who bring it to life, and the quiet power of the Retreat.
My mission is to contribute, through shapes and colors, a meaningful piece to this sensory journey. I am happy and honored to be part of a project that brings people together around values of openness, kindness, and deep harmony — with oneself, with others, and with the living world.

At Retreat Monferrato, I combine my international background with a deep appreciation for well-being and personal growth, contributing to a space that promotes mindfulness, balance, and authentic human connection.
